Cookie Policy

Chemical Collective | Effective date: 27 October 2026

1. Who is responsible?

This policy explains cookies and similar technologies used by AlphaChain B.V., trading as Chemical Collective, on our online shop where this policy is displayed. For information about personal data, our contact details and your rights, read the Privacy Policy. You can contact us at staff@chemical-collective.com.

Cookies store small pieces of information in your browser. Local and session storage can retain information in other browser stores. Tracking pixels, scripts and embedded services can transmit device information even when they do not set a cookie.

A session cookie normally lasts for a browser session. A persistent cookie has an expiry, although browsers may remove it earlier. Local storage may remain until the site or browser removes it. Cookie expiry is not necessarily the retention period for information already held on a provider’s servers.

2. Purposes and choices

  • Necessary functions: maintaining a requested cart or login, protecting a form against abuse, and providing functions strictly necessary for a service you request. These must be limited to that purpose.
  • Preferences: remembering a language or a setting. Whether an item is exempt from consent depends on its actual function and use, not its name.
  • Analytics and behavioural analysis: measuring visits, traffic sources and how pages are used.
  • Attribution and marketing: linking visits or orders to campaigns or affiliates and using advertising-related features where enabled.

Non-essential storage and tracking require consent where applicable. Merely continuing to browse or accepting our shop terms is not that consent. Refusing optional tracking must not prevent ordinary access to the shop. Necessary cart or login functions can still require their own cookies.

The banner provides Accept all, Reject non-essential and Cookie settings choices. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager scripts are inert until analytics consent is granted. You can reopen Cookie settings at any time from the persistent footer control.

3. Cookies and storage identified on the website

These are the main cookies and browser-storage items used by the website. Names and lifetimes can vary with browser, provider and configuration.

Item and provider Purpose / category
_ga, _ga_S3RWFTKMJX
Google Analytics; first-party cookies on our domain.
Recognise an analytics browser/session and measure visits. Optional analytics, not required for checkout.
_gid
Google Analytics; first-party cookie.
Distinguish analytics visitors over a shorter period. Optional analytics.
_gat
Google Analytics; first-party cookie.
Limit analytics request frequency. Optional analytics.
sbjs_current, sbjs_first, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_migrations, sbjs_udata
WooCommerce / Sourcebuster; first-party cookies.
Store traffic source, landing/referrer and browser-related attribution information that can be associated with an order. Treat as optional attribution unless a narrower, documented exemption applies.
sbjs_session
WooCommerce / Sourcebuster; first-party cookie.
Session page-view and attribution information. Optional attribution, not the cart session cookie.
wp-wpml_current_language
WPML; first-party cookie.
Remember the current website language.
_grecaptcha
Local storage associated with Google reCAPTCHA.
Anti-abuse checks and related browser state.

Some cookies last only for the browsing session. Persistent cookies or local storage may remain longer, depending on the provider and browser settings. The exact lifetime can change when the website or provider configuration changes.

Names with a property identifier or hash can differ between installations. Some cookies are set on our domain even though the associated information is sent to an external provider.

4. Managing cookies and withdrawing consent

Use the persistent “Cookie settings” control in the site footer to reopen the choice and change optional analytics consent.

You can also use your browser settings to inspect, delete or block cookies and clear local or session storage. Blocking necessary store cookies may affect login or your cart. Clearing cookies without changing your consent choice can allow a provider to create new identifiers on a later visit; clearing storage is not a substitute for an effective withdrawal control.

Withdrawal does not change whether earlier processing was lawful and does not retrospectively validate tracking that took place without required consent. It should stop future consent-dependent collection and use. Information already collected is handled under the retention and rights provisions in the Privacy Policy.

5. Providers, transfers and further information

Providers involved in these technologies can receive IP addresses, browser/device information, identifiers and interaction events. Some may process information outside the EEA. The actual recipients, locations, retention and transfer safeguards must be identified in the Privacy Policy; a cookie being first-party does not mean its data stays with us.

Useful provider explanations include Google’s Privacy Policy, WooCommerce cookies and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. Those notices do not replace our responsibility to explain and configure the tools we use.

We will update this policy when the technologies or purposes change. The published version will show its effective or last-updated date.
