BAN UPDATE 04-11-25 – The agenda has been released, and 1S-LSD will finally be banned on November 21st. Unfortunately, the ban has been broadened to also include NB-DMT and all NBoc protected tryptamines. We will continue shipping 1S-LSD and NB-DMT until the final day OR until we run out of stock!

ANOTHER IMPORTANT UPDATE 06-10-25 – More shocking news, as the Bundesrat REJECTS the proposed amendment to ban ALL LLSD analogues. This appears to have been a massive blunder by the legislators, whose actions were deemed unconstitutional. This means we now have until at least November 21st until the next possible ban.

IMPORTANT UPDATE 17-09-25 – Shocking news as the German government just released a last minute amendment to the NpSG that will cover ALL lysergamides. This means that 1S-LSD will be the final ever legal LSD analogue in Germany. This is much worse news than we were expecting, and seems like the government intentionally leaked a “draft amendment” in order to trick vendors into investing in a new analogue, knowing that they were going to ban all of them.

This means that 1S-LSD and ALL analogues will be illegal to sell (NOT to possess) in Germany from September 26th.

We strongly recommend that you order as soon as possible, as we are currently running low on stock (for reals – we have 10k blotters left and once they’re going, another batch will not be made!).

Cat and Mouse Continues

For the fourth time in five years, the German government is preparing to remove another beloved, high-quality lysergamide from the market. Chemical Collective has just received the devastating news that 1S-LSD will soon be added to the Neue-psychoaktive-Stoffe-Gesetz (NpSG). This will make the production, distribution, importation, and purchase of the substance illegal within Germany.

Sadly, this doesn’t feel like just another ban, ripe to be skirted around in the relatively near future. This feels somewhat more final. With the key players who once kept the means of lysergamide production no longer around, this could signal the definitive end of the legal lysergamide market in Germany for the foreseeable future.

The timeframe, as always, is a little hazy, but we are led to believe that the ban could become law as early as September 26th, 2025. 1S-LSD is set to join its predecessors in a list of compounds much loved by the community, axed by the authorities – even as the potential for psychedelics’ powerful therapeutic effects becomes increasingly apparent throughout the global scientific community. The game of cat and mouse between the consumer and those in power appears to have reached its endgame. It is crucial to understand what that means for you.

A History of German Lysergamide Bans

To understand the gravity of the situation in which we currently find ourselves, we must look at what has pretty much become an annual ritual at this point. This is not a sudden, isolated event. This is the culmination of a multi-year, frankly ideologically driven, legislative campaign.

2021 – 1cP-LSD: This was the turning point. When the German government altered the wording of the NpSG in July 2021, it did not just target one single substance. It was a broad stroke that outlawed a vast number of chemical classes – for example, most arylcyclohexylamines (substances like 2-FDCK) and a massive number of tryptamines. 1cP-LSD, the most popular legally available lysergamide at the time, was caught by this law change and immediately removed from the market.

2022 – 1V-LSD: 1V-LSD (affectionately known as “VALERIE” by the community) quickly emerged as a brilliant and effective new successor. However, regulators were of course watching and in an extremely rapid follow-up, the NpSG was once again updated to take into account 1V-LSD. In September 2022, just over a year after the original ban, 1V-LSD was also made illegal in Germany. This pace of action showed just how engaged the government was with the ridiculous vendetta against all lysergamides.

2024 – 1D-LSD: Predictably, the cycle continued with 1D-LSD. 1D-LSD was the next swift innovation from the community’s chemists, offering another safe, legal alternative to skirt around the increasingly wide-ranging rules. In a move that surprised exactly no one but disappointed countless psychonauts, the government swiftly followed suit. 1D-LSD was added to the NpSG in the summer of 2024.

The increasingly draconian state of the NpSG was still cleverly and rapidly avoided by enterprising chemists, and 1S-LSD arrived on the market soon after the ban. Unfortunately, it now faces the same fate. This time, however, there is one critical – and sadly game-changing – difference.

The Fall of Lizard Labs

For years, the question after every subsequent ban was, “What will Lizard Labs come up with next?”. No longer.

As many of you are aware, Lizard Labs is the legendary group of chemists largely responsible for synthesising high-quality, innovative new lysergamides and bringing them to the research chemical market. It is impossible to overstate their importance to the community as a whole. Their commitment to quality, purity, and continued research provided a safe, reliable supply for psychonauts seeking an LSD-like experience.

The creation of novel, legal, stable, and effective lysergamide analogues is not a simple undertaking. It requires a large amount of monetary investment, time investment, and world-class chemical expertise. All of this was required while navigating an increasingly crowded minefield of rapidly changing, aggressive international laws. Lizard Labs was up to the task.

Their departure from the scene has left a seemingly unfilled void that no one currently appears able to fill. Innovation has stalled since the synthesis of 1S-LSD, and this is why this impending ban feels so final and potentially catastrophic. For the first time, there is no successor available, or even on the horizon. Nada. Nichts. Nothing.

What is the NpSG?

So, what exactly is the law progressively forcing psychonauts back into the murky, unreliable black-market?. The NpSG is fundamentally different to the previous legislation – the German Narcotic Drugs Act, the Betäubungsmittelgesetz (BtMG).

BtMG (Betäubungsmittelgesetz): This is Germany’s original drug law. It works by maintaining a relatively exhaustive and specific list of all outlawed substances (such as cocaine, heroin, MDMA, and LSD). To add a substance to this list, it must be done individually. This makes it a relatively slow, cumbersome, bureaucratic process. This allowed chemists time to discover new chemicals regularly and simply, safe in the knowledge that while a ban may be inevitable, it would take a long while to come into effect.

NpSG (Neue-psychoaktive-Stoffe-Gesetz): This was introduced in 2016. It continues to be regularly amended and updated, as we have discussed. The NpSG was designed to close the “legal high” (not for human consumption) loophole. Instead of listing individual drugs one by one, the NpSG bans entire families of chemical compounds based on their chemical structure. As an example, let’s take synthetic cannabinoids. The NpSG will not simply ban a specific chemical (for example, HHC); it bans any chemical at all derived from a certain base structure. This catches swathes of both existing substances and potential future alternatives in one go. This is far harder for community chemists to get around in any vaguely monetarily viable fashion.

The main focus of the NpSG is on destroying the supply chain of these substances as a whole. The harshest penalties are therefore reserved for the manufacturers, importers, and distributors. While both possession of and purchase of any chemicals covered by the legislation is still technically illegal under the act, the legal ramifications for dramatically less severe than under the previous law (the BtMG). While on the surface, not punishing the consumer appears like a large step forward, the fact that the substances themselves, which are being banned, appear safe, viable alternatives means that users are just pushed into the black market, which comes with its own set of dangers, both individually and for society as a whole. The vast majority of legal experts believe prosecution for amounts of any of these substances deemed to be personal is highly unlikely to be pursued. However, there is, of course, no guarantee of this. Chemical Collective categorically states that you MUST understand the specific laws applicable to you in this scenario.

What to Expect

Here is the process as it will likely unfold:

Expert Committee Recommendation: A committee of experts has already discussed and recommended the inclusion of 1S−LSD in the NpSG.

Federal Government Approval: The recommendation is drafted into a formal amendment and approved by the German Federal Government.

Federal Council Vote: The amendment is then presented to the Bundesrat (Federal Council) for a vote. This is often the final legislative hurdle.

Publication: Once passed, the law is signed and published in the official Bundesgesetzblatt (Federal Law Gazette).

Enactment: The ban comes into force the day after it is published in the Gazette.

Based on this process, our best estimates for when this will all take effect are:

Worst-Case Scenario: Publication occurs around September 25th, making the ban effective on September 26th, 2025.

Best-Case Scenario: Bureaucratic delays push the process into the autumn, giving us until mid-October 2025.

Chemical Collective will continue to carefully monitor the Federal Law Gazette daily, and we will, of course, with a heavy heart, immediately halt all shipments to Germany the very instant the law is published.

FAQs

Can I still legally order 1S−LSD?

YES! Unequivocally, yes. Until the law is published in the Federal Gazette, 1S−LSD remains completely legal to purchase and import into Germany. Business continues as usual until that final moment.

Will I get in trouble for an order I place now?

NO! Laws in Germany, as in most democratic nations, cannot be applied retroactively. Any purchase made and received while 1S−LSD is still legal is a fully lawful transaction. You are not breaking any laws by stocking up before the ban.

What if my order arrives after the ban is enacted?

This is a legal grey area. However, our policy is clear: we will cease shipping to Germany the moment the ban is published. We will do everything in our power to ensure all paid orders are dispatched with ample time to arrive before the legal status changes. Any orders we cannot fulfil for any reason will be fully and immediately refunded.

Is my payment and personal information safe?

ABSOLUTELY. We are a legal, tax-paying Dutch company operating under Dutch and EU law, including full GDPR compliance. German authorities have no jurisdiction over our operations or our secure servers. Your privacy and security are paramount.

A Parting Gift: THE FINAL BATCH

This is it, guys! The last of its kind. To commemorate the end of this chapter in the history of lysergamides and the field of research chemicals as a whole, we are releasing the final batch of blotters ever created by Lizard Labs.

* 1S-LSD 250 mcg Art Design Blotters *

* LIMITED EDITION – COLLECTOR’S ITEM *

Once these are gone, they are gone forever. Remember, this is more than just a chemical compound now. This is a piece of history. A tribute to the relentless innovation and defiance of the psychonaut community, even under ever-increasing duress from outdated, draconian legal measures. Use it for “research” or frame it! The choice is yours.

Stay informed, stay safe, be mindful, and thank you so very much for continuing to be a part of this journey.

The mouse runs,
the cat pounces.

A game older than stories,
older than you and I.

Where shadow chases the light,
the moon creeps up on the sun,
cold follows the warmth,
tears fall after laugher,
fire hunts water.

The cat pursuits the mouse.

But sometimes,
the mouse finds a crack in the wall.

Maybe, sometimes,
the mouse escapes.

Everything comes hand in hand.
Life and death.
Night and day.

To those that are feeling
the weight of this moment;
you’re not alone.

Keep your wits sharp,
your mind open,
and your dreams unbanned.

We’ll find the gap in the wall.
We always do.

I want to take this moment to thank you and your team for your hard work and devotion to the community.

I am usually quiet as I fail to find words to capture the full weight of my experiences.

I came to Germany 4 years ago to try to heal my broken soul. I would not have been able to mend my self without your help.

You made the tools of healing available to us.

I hope all your dreams come true and good luck, my dear.
