A vaporiser, or vape, is a device that generates vapour from a particular substance, usually designed for inhalation. This is done through either conduction or convection heating methods. They have gained popularity worldwide as a healthier alternative to traditional smoking methods by reducing the release of harmful byproducts and waste.

Below are some of the primary categories of vaporisers available:

Dry Herb Vaporisers: These vaporisers are specifically designed to heat and vaporise dried plant materials, such as tobacco, cannabis, and other herbs. They’re popular among users who seek a purer, cleaner experience as they bypass the combustion process, reducing harmful smoke toxins and waste.

E-liquid Vaporisers: E-liquid vaporisers, often known as e-cigarettes or vape pens, are designed to vaporise a liquid that contains nicotine, flavourings, and other chemicals. These devices are popular substitutes for traditional cigarettes, providing the nicotine people crave without the tar and many harmful substances in cigarette smoke. It should be noted that more safety studies must be done before we understand the safety profile of vape liquids.

Wax/Concentrate vaporisers: These vaporisers are used to vaporise waxes and other concentrates, most commonly cannabis. They are highly efficient and generally deliver a more potent experience than other types.

They’re best suited for use at home or in a designated vaping area and are usually unsuitable for travel.
